Sunday morning Bible study begins this Sunday, 8/16 at 9:45 am. Chairs have been arranged in all age groups and your Bible teachers are ready to share God’s Word. I remind you to practice social distancing and wear masks. Bro. Mike Kirtley’s class will also be using zoom for those choosing to stay home. Contact Bro. Mike if you are interested and he will send you an invite. Morning worship will begin at 11 am and will also be streamed via YouTube. The worship message will be taken from Philippians 1:12-26 and is entitled Overcoming Circumstances.
Ladies Bible Study will continue on Monday at 7 pm and Thursday at 10 am. There is also a zoom Bible study on Wednesday at 6 pm. Contact Bro. Daniel if you want to be included and he will send you an invite. If everything continues to go well, we will begin Wednesday evening activities for adults, youth, and children. A meal will not be included.
Prayer requests for the week are as follows. Dolly Ritz’s family, Suzanne Williams’ family. A memorial service will be held at Westway for her sister, Amy Shields on September 5 at 11 am. Her husband, Berkeley has been attending Westway, Betty Mitchell is back in the hospital, James and Yolanda Mitcham, Dennis Benton, Connie Campos, Sue Capshaw, the Chestnuts: Lucille, Keith and Julie, Sandi Crawford had a procedure on Friday. She is home and doing well, Chris Goodwin, Hazel Holmes, Kenneth and Cyndi Hughes, Sidney Hughes had heart surgery on Thursday in Tomball. This procedure is needed to help circulation to her legs, Robert and Brenda Moore, Mary Nevels is home and doing better, Eva Ray, Carla Smiley, Tom Snyder, Loleen Styers, Harold Wood (doing much better), Austin Manning, Michael Kirtley is having eye problems. Cataract surgery is needed and possibly more on one eye. He will see his doctor again on August 21. Mary Valdez and Exsavior Medina need employment.
I leave you with these words from Paul, “Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; 11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; 13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality” (Romans 12:10-13, NKJV).
